The refrigerator regulates its internal temperature to preserve food, but this process generates condensation, especially when the refrigerator is opened frequently or contains damp food. The drain hole channels this condensation to a gutter located at the back of the appliance, where the water evaporates thanks to the heat produced by the compressor.
