👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Pan & Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Line baking pan with parchment and grease sides

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
  • Whisk and set aside

3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar

  • Beat butter until smooth
  • Add sugar; mix on high for 3–4 mins until light and fluffy

4️⃣ Add Eggs & Vanilla

  • Mix in vanilla
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly between additions

5️⃣ Alternate Wet & Dry Ingredients

  • With mixer on low, add dry ingredients in three batches, alternating with buttermilk
  • Don’t overmix—finish by folding gently with a spatula

6️⃣ Bake & Cool

  • Pour batter into pan
  • Bake for 40–45 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean
  • Let cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a wire rack
