Preparation:
Prepare the Filling:
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
Add the minced meat, season with salt, pepper, and optional spices. Cook until fully cooked and liquid-free.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the cooked meat evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-2 cm border.
Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the meat.
Form the Rolls:
Roll up the dough from one of the long ends, forming a tight cylinder.
Cut the roll into portions approximately 2-3 cm thick.
Place the rolls on the tray with the cut side facing up.
Bake:
Brush the rolls with beaten egg to achieve a golden color.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden and crisp.
Serve:
Serve the rolls hot or warm.
Enjoy with sauces like ketchup, garlic mayonnaise, or yogurt sauce.
